1.1. Where, when and how can I register for the Forum?

Registration is open and accessible through the Forum website here: https://signup.worldwaterforum.org/en/

Payments can be made by bank transfer or on site. The badges will be provided on site.

We invite you to register as soon as possible via our website to ensure your participation. We also invite you to visit our website regularly and to subscribe to our newsletter to keep yourself informed and up to date.

In addition, the Forum registration fee includes a complete package available to participants, including:

  • Airport pick-up,
  • Airport - hotel - airport transfers,
  • Internal travel between hotels and Forum reception sites and hotels,
  • Lunches and coffee breaks, and
  • Participation in the Forum sessions.
  • Access to the African and Sanitation Villages, the Response Path at EXPO

Access to the site during the Forum will only be possible for participants with a badge.

Parking will not be allowed inside the Forum site. However, a parking area will be provided outside the site and access details will be communicated soon.

1.2. Are there hotels available near the venues? How can I book the hotel?

1.3. Can I realize a group registration for the 9th World Water Forum?

Registration can be individual or grouped. The direct link for group registration is https://signup.worldwaterforum.org.

The payment can be done by bank transfer or on site upon arrival at the Forum venue.

1.4. What does my registration include for the event?

The Forum registration fee includes a complete package available to participants, including:

  • Reception at the airport,
  • Airport - hotel - airport transfers,
  • Internal travel between hotels and Forum reception sites and hotels,
  • Lunches and coffee breaks,
  • Participation in the Forum sessions.
  • Access to the African and Sanitation Villages, Responses Path and EXPO

1.5. Do I need a visa to enter to Senegal? How can I get it?

In order to receive a Visa for Senegal, you will need to take the following steps:

  1. Register to the Forum at the address: https://signup.worldwaterforum.org/en/
  2. Shortly after the registration, you will receive via email the order confirmation with the number of your order.
  3. You will also receive a letter of confirmation of your registration (please note that this will be sent automatically in few days, including for people who are already registered)
  4. You will need to request a Visa directly at the consulate of Senegal in your country, bringing with you the order confirmation, the letter of confirmation of registration, and of course your passport.

2.1. Who can I contact for questions regarding communication and media accreditation?

3.1. Will the organization of the 9th Forum give support for forum participants, such as air tickets and per-diem?

The participation of stakeholders with limited means will be supported. Therefore, the modalities for applying for sponsorship to participate in the 9th World Water Forum will soon be available online. Please note that an application for sponsorship does not automatically imply its acceptance.

4.1. How will the 9th World Water Forum be mainly composed?

During the 9th World Water Forum week, a full program of sessions will be offered by each process (Thematic, and Political).

Special Sessions, High-Level Panels and Side-Events will also complete the thematic Forum activities.

Additional exhibits, activities and social events will be offered in the Expo and Villages as well.

4.3. What are the objectives and roles of the Political Process and how is organized?

The political process aims to bring together politicians and elected officials from all over the world, responsible not only for water, environment, agriculture or energy policies, but also for finance and other domains, in order to create an understanding on the urgency of the implementation of concrete, positive and pro-active policies on water issues.

The political process of the Forum has five sub-processes related to High-Level Political Figures, Ministerial, Parliamentarians, Local Authorities, and Basin Organizations.

6.1. What is the health protocol for the 9th World Water Forum?

6.2. Which are the sanitarian requirements to enter Senegal?

In view of the current sanitary context, Senegal, like most countries, requires a negative test for Covid-19. The traveler must be able to present an official document attesting to the negative result of the RT- PCR-COVID-19 test dating back less than five (5) days or a "health pass" duly issued by the competent services. 6.3. There will be COVID-19 testing centers available in the Conference Center?

Yes, the Ministry for Health of Senegal is actively involved in the organization of the Forum to guarantee the access of COVID-19 RTP-PCR tests for all participants.
