Justification

The Community of Siekoya Remolinos Siekopai is located in the heart of shushufindi Township in sucumbios province, Ecuador. Very secluded, it is 45 minutes by canoe, then 2 hours by bus from the nearest town. The Community has no connection to the public electricity and hydraulic network, nor does it have any sanitary or storm sewerage system. With regard to access to water, there is a total lack of infrastructure for the abstraction, conveyance or treatment of water.

They have only a rainwater tank of 1000 L. and wash in the Aguarico River adjacent to the Community. The water is not disinfected. The vital stakes of access to water for its inhabitants, in terms of quantity and quality, make this project of general interest a priority, which aims to stabilise the Community on its territory and to enable it to develop health, economic and social.
