Justification

Togo, with a Human Development Index of 0.48, ranks 166th out of 186 countries, with a poverty rate of 58.7%. The rural population, representing 60% of the population, has a low rate of access to drinking water (40%), sanitation (2%) and electricity (27%). 


The objective of the project is to deploy and validate a technical and organizational solution for integrated access to water resources, sanitation and electricity in nine isolated villages in the Plateaux region of Togo.
