Applications still accepted for the Consultative Groups

The next edition of the World Water Forum will break with the “business as usual” approach of the past. Our aim is to focus on action for water.  The Framework for Action that drives the content development of the 9th World Water Forum is based on the intention to create as much coherence as possible with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so that the action that is catalysed through the process of the Forum can also contribute directly to the achievement of the Agenda 2030.

Indeed, the next Forum edition focuses on four core Priorities, enabling a fertile cross-cutting exchange between all the stakeholders.

Each Priority is composed of 5 to 6 Actions which represent the objectives that the Forum will strive to accomplish. These actions will deliver concrete responses to a broad set of water-related Sustainable Development Goals targets.

Different categories of groups have been constituted around each of these Priorities (Pilot, Action, and Consultative groups) to define and implement activities that contribute to the achievement of the objectives above-mentioned.

The Consultative Groups are among these categories. They act as a broader community of practice encompassing a variety of stakeholders and are aligned with each Action Group with the purpose to influence the direction of the content development. Even though they were constituted following the open call at the beginning of 2020, applications are still accepted.

Interested stakeholders are strongly invited to contribute to the preparatory process of the Forum, through an online questionnaire available on a collaborative platform.

You can join a Consultative Group of the 9th World Water Forum through the online application form, available at https://tinyurl.com/y776an9q, and participate in the Consultation Process.
