The World Water Council, the City of Kyoto, and the Japan Water Forum, have contributed to the success of the World Water Forum over the years by celebrating the achievements of organizations working in the water sector at community level.
Ever since the 4th World Water Forum in 2006, the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize has been awarded every three years to distinguished grass-roots organizations working on solving water issues in low-income countries.
The Prize will be awarded again during the 9th World Water Forum in Senegal which will be held on 21-26 March 2022. The laureate of the prize will receive 2,000,000 JPY (approximately 18,000 USD).
We invite all interested candidates to apply. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2021 (2:59pm UTC).
