Senegal is preparing to organize two world-class events in Dakar. These are the 9th World Water Forum, scheduled from 22 to 27 March 2021 and the Youth Olympic Games, which will take place from 22 October to 9 November 2022.
As both events will take place at the same venues in Dakar, Diamniado and Saly, collaboration has been established between the two organizing committees to pool efforts and share experiences. This was the subject of the first meeting between two delegations led by Abdoulaye SENE, Executive Secretary of the 9th World Water Forum and Ibrahima WADE, Coordinator of the Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee. It made it possible to lay the foundations of a collaboration that will concern logistics, communication, mobilization, etc.
