The consultation platform with the technical and financial partners for the support of the 9th World Water Forum "Dakar 2021" met on March 5, 2020 at the Executive Secretariat in Diamniadio. This meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation is part of the periodic meetings between the Executive Secretariat and the Technical and Financial Partners to ensure a good follow-up of the global action of their support to the preparatory process, both in terms of expertise and logistical and financial support. To this end, it was focused on :
- Making an assessment of the activities over the last period since the previous meeting;
- Recalling the key stages of the roadmap;
- Discussing the financing plan and the positioning of the various Technical and Financial Partners.
The different institutions present (European Union, General Delegation of Wallonia Brussels, General Delegation of Quebec, Italian Cooperation...) reiterated on this occasion their interest in the Forum and their commitment to accompany the State of Senegal in different aspects for the success of the preparatory phase and the organization of the event. The exchanges enabled the Executive Secretariat to shed light on various aspects that should enable the Technical and Financial Partners to better position themselves according to their areas of interest. The next meetings will enable those who have not yet done so to specify their support on the basis of the information provided.
