To stop the spreas of coronavirus

With the Coronavirus epidemic that has been raging around the world for several months now, a reminder of preventive measures is in order to protect ourselves and the most vulnerable among us. The Coronavirus does not have a passport, but we can all take steps to limit its spread. The celebration of World Water Day is an opportunity to recall the importance of water for health and hygiene. Faced with the risk of spreading the Coronavirus, water is our ally: without it, no effective hand washing with soap is possible.

The direct transmission of viruses is done from person to person, through secretions when sneezing, in sputtering, coughing and blowing the nose... Thus, when people speak, cough or sneeze, droplets of saliva carrying the virus are projected and millions of viruses are then found in the air. Other people will breathe this air which contains the viruses and they will be contaminated in turn and become contagious or through close contact between people: kisses, handshakes (when hands carry the virus after touching their nose for example).
Indirect transmission of viruses occurs through objects soiled with saliva or secretions from the nose of a sick person.
The 4 recommended barrier gestures are :

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow
  • Use a single-use handkerchief
  • Wearing a disposable mask when you're sick
