Access to drinking water and sanitation is a priority for Senegal, which has implemented several programs and projects.
The evolution of water quality levels in Portugal over the last 20 years is remarkable. In 1993, only 50 percent of the water was considered safe. Over the last 10 years, the quality has consistently been close to 99%.
In this context, the Portuguese Embassy, through the AICEP delegation in Dakar, is organizing the webinar "Water Forum - Portugal-Senegal", on the water and sanitation sector, on Tuesday, July 6.
With 9 months to go before the 9th World Water Forum, which will take place in Dakar from 21 to 26 March under the theme "Water Security for Peace and Development", this event will see the participation of all the companies of the Portuguese water cluster, but also of the Senegalese companies OFOR, ONAS, SEN'EAU, SONES and the Executive Secretariat of the Forum.
